Scope and Content There are two groups of gun batteries at the edge of the cliff, deeply set in concrete, which held various calibres of guns. The site was used both in the First and Second World Wars to protect the anchorage in the Cromarty Firth. There are also the remains of the associated military camp built on the terraces above.
