Activities

Field Visit (28 March 2019)

This small enclosure, which is situated a little N of the midpoint between the two gun emplacements (NH86NW 9.04), is set back into the S-facing scarp that forms the front of the platform supporting the Officers’ Mess (NH86NW 9.39). It is defined by a bank on the S and SE, and is entered via a passage on the W. A concrete pillar, measuring 0.3m square and 0.55m high, within the interior originally supported a direction range finder.

Visited by HES, Survey and Recording (ATW, AKK, KLG), 28 March 2019.
