Scope and Content There is a complex collection of prehistoric and post-mediaeval remains on the S and E slopes of Learable Hill, west of the River Helmsdale in Strath Kildonan. There are hut circles, burnt mounds and, on the SW slope, a series of linear standing stones. The building, bottom L of this image, is no longer present on modern aerial photography. The site was surveyed by the OS in 1977 and in more detail by RCAHMS in 1991. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
