Scope and Content This view shows the centre of Fortrose with the 13th century Cathedral (Canmore ID 14324) and precincts clearly visible at the centre. The main street in Fortrose, the High Street is seen traversing the view beyond. Fortrose has many ancient and interesting buildings. It also has a harbour (Canmore ID 14386) just out of the view on the left and at one time had a castle, Seaforth Castle (Canmore ID 14335) the location of which is uncertain.
