Scope and Content A close view of the Black Isle showground. A field of parked cars lies just above centre and to the right of that is a promontory fort projecting into a partially silted kettle hole. The fort was partially excavated in 2018 as part of the Tarradale Through Time Project. To the right and a little higher, the gable of Gilchrist medieval church is clearly visible. It was converted into a mausoleum in the 19th century and is surrounded by a walled cemetery. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
