Scope and Content Aerial view of Murrayfield Stadium, Murrayfield Ice Rink and Roseburn House, Edinburgh This aerial view shows Edinburgh's Roseburn area, which is south-west of Princes Street. In the centre is Murrayfield Rugby Stadium, the home of Scottish rugby, built in 1986. This image shows the stadium during the completion of its new stands in 1994. Just beside the rugby stadium (lower left) is Murrayfield Ice Rink, which was built in 1938 to designs by Dunn & Findlay. It has undergone renovation work and is still used regularly for ice skating and ice hockey matches. At the top of the photograph, opposite the warehouses, is Roseburn House, which was built in 1582 for Mungo Russell, an Edinburgh burgess. A number of additions in the 17th and 18th centuries created a large imposing mansion house still lived in today. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
