Scope and Content Written on the back of the mounted print: ‘Shire: Fife. Place: Dysart. Building: St Serf’s Kirk – West end of nave’. Photographer: ‘J.P.’ Date: ‘Nov 1964’ West end of nave, St Serf's Parish Church, Dysart St Serf's Church was built in abut 1500 and abandoned in 1802. The partially blocked arches (right) originally opened on the north aisle. The tower (left) bears a resemblance to a tower house and may indeed have served as a watch-tower in the area's coastal defences. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
