Description Sir Lachlan Maclean of Duart and Morvern (centre), flanked by clan dignitaries, opening a memorial to his clansmen who fell with the 11th Chief, Sir Hector, at the battle of Inverkeithing on 20 July 1651, when a Royalist Highland army was defeated by Cromwell’s forces in Scotland.
