Scope and Content The archaeological remains on this spur on the north side of the glen represent several phases of construction, illustrated by the head-dyke in the centre which follows at least three separate lines. The enclosures on the lower ground around the steading at Loss were built in 1757, and the larger enclosures in 1758 and 1762, as part of James Wright's reorganisation of the glen into an extensive sheepwalk.
