Scope and Content This was likely prepared for Britton’s RIBA lecture delivered on the 12 January 1846. The item is comprised of three pages. The first page contains a description of the carved ornamentation of the chapel interior and references Walter Scott’s description of bodies buried beneath the chapel. The second page includes a struck through draft of Britton’s lecture. The final page outlines the founding and construction of the chapel, accompanied with a pencil sketch of its east elevation.
