FERRY CROSSING A route across a river, or lake. Use only for small inland ferries and index with LANDING POINT/LANDING STAGE or QUAY where known.
JETTY A mole or pier-like structure situated at the entrance of a harbour, or running out into a lake of the sea, so as to defend the harbour or coast.
LANDING STAGE A platform, sometimes floating, for the landing of passengers and goods from vessels.
