NS16SW 5 104 630.

Not far from Ascog House (NS 104 630) there stands what is supposed to have been the old castle of Ascog, which was destroyed by fire in the 17th century and re-erected on the same site.

A H Millar 1885

There are the remains of an old cottage at NS 1060 6314, in the grounds of Ascog House. Otherwise no information was discovered about the castle or its site.
