Archaeology Notes

NO40SE 26.02 centred on 49309 00879 .

This large steading is open rectangular in plan, with a later steam engine/ boiler house and a chimney concealed within a tower. The steading was no longer in agricultural use on the date of survey. Parts are used as estate workshops and stores and others are converted to dwellings.
