Scope and Content Coal-store, Elie House Steading, Fife Elie House Steading was built mainly in the late 18th and early 19th century and appears in its present form, except for the sawmill, on the 1853 Ordnance Survey map. This coal-store is part of the sawmill complex which first appears on the 1893 Ordnance Survey map. Rising behind is the base of the chimney which was built to look like a medieval tower.
