Scope and Content Cart-sheds, Elie House Steading, Fife Elie House Steading was built mainly in the late 18th and early 19th century and appears in its present form, except for the sawmill, on the 1853 Ordnance Survey map. This cart-shed was built in the mid 19th century. The carts would have been housed under the arches or bays. The floor above was probably a granary. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
