Activities

Field Visit (May 2014)

15th century tower and hall house; hall altered in length over following century and final construction of tower was 16th century. Tower destroyed in 1602 blast.

Door in hall to N and to W. Originally wooden floor and, because no fireplaces in walls, suggests open centrally located hearth. Rock-cut well in e part of hall. Partly excavated by GUARD Archaeology in 1995.
