Scope and Content This view shows the settlement of Stronemore on the N shore of Loch Carron. In former days this location was a significant crossing point of the loch on the north-south route; Strome Castle (Canmore ID 99579 and 11881) is seen on a promontory in the bay to the left of centre and the landing slip (Canmore ID 11886 ) for the former Stromeferry is seen on the shore in the left half of the view.
