Accessing Scotland's Past Project

The Castle Inn was probably constructed in the early nineteenth century about the same time as the County Hall opposite. It is built in a similar style and would once have accommodated the lawyers and judges who worked at the County Court. Coach and stable wings are situated to the side and rear of the hotel.
