There are three burnt mounds on the shoulder of the hill known as the Commonty of Lally.
RCAHMS 1946, visited 1929
These heather-covered earthen mounds centred at ND 4758 9227, (A-C), on a SE facing slope, are barrows and not burnt mounds.
'A' measures 10.5m in diameter and 1.0m high, and is surrounded by a circular ditch, silted up in the SE but elsewhere 1.5m wide and 0.3m deep.
'B' measures 7.5m in diameter and 1.0m high.
'C' a mutilated mound measuring 4.0m in diameter and 0.5m high, may be a barrow, but could be natural.
Surveyed at 1/2500.
Visited by OS (IMT) 6 May 1973.

The location of these mounds was visited during the Orkney Barrows Project. They could not be located for measuring, and may have been levelled. The location means they would have been visible, but not prominent, to the NE, E and S for c.1km.
