(Area: ND 320 909) There is a mound of burnt stones about 200 yds S of Wing.
RCAHMS 1946, visited 1929
The only mound in the area, apart from Laurie's Knowe (ND39SW 4), is at ND 3222 9070. It is so overgrown and amorphous that it cannot be classified. It this is the mound described by the Commission, then it would appear that the Commission description has been transposed with that of Laurie's Knowe (RCAHMS 1946, No.1011) in their volume.
Surveyed at 1/2500.
Visited by OS (RL) 16 June 1967
Field Visit (16 June 1967)

Orkney Smr Note (May 1988)
Corrie's notebook entry, unavailable to OS in 1967, is
sufficient to indicate that there was no confusion of this site
