(Location cited as HU 401 145: considered as group with HU41SW 10 and HU41SW 11 ). Norse mills, Southvoe, 19th century or earlier. A group of three mills: the middle one ruinous, the upper one still thatched but converted to a shed, and the lowest restored in connection with the nearby folk museum. The restoration has been nicely carried out and there is a 9-paddle tirl.

J R Hume 1977.

A single unroofed building is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Orkney and Shetland (Shetland) 1882, sheet lxvii) and on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973).
