OS 6" map, (1960)

A few yards north of Ham are the remains of what the people in the district call graveyards. They are more likely to be Norse grave mounds. Human bones are said to have been found in them. No reliable information can be obtained as to their original shape or of their interior formation as it is a great number of years since they were destroyed.

Name Book 1872.

These mounds have been reduced by ploughing and are visible only as slight mounds in the field.
