Note (23 February 2024)

R V J Butt incorrectly states that Bilbster was part of the Wick - Lybster branch of the former Highland Rly. The station was actually on the Georgemas Junction to Wick section of the Sutherland & Caithness Railway (Operated by the Highland Railway and now known as part of the Far North Line), which opened on 28 July 1874. Bilbster Station closed on 13 June 1960.
