There are no identifiable remains in a wooded area of the quarry that is noted on the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch map (Edinburghshire, sheet xv, 1852 and sheet x.SW, 1893, respectively), but is omitted from the revision of 1905 (sheet x).
