This farmstead, which is situated about 250m WNW of Avonhead, comprises a partly-robbed, four compartment building and a horse-engine platform. The building measures 25m from NE to SW by 5.5m transversely over faced-rubble walls 0.5m thick and 0.5m high, with the sandstone jambs of a fireplace in the SW gable. A horse-engine platform, 8m in diameter and 0.25m high, is attached at the N corner, and there are traces of rig in the field to the NE. The farmstead is depicted as roofed on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Lanarkshire 1864, sheet iii)
