At Springbank Distillery, founded in 1828 and still in full working order, on a site lying just off the SW side of Longrow, some of the early buildings remain, although now much remodelled. These are plain two- and three-storeyed structures of local rubble masonry showing rows of small widely-spaced window openings.

RCAHMS 1971, visited April 1968.

(Location cited as NR 717 206). Springbank Distillery, established 1828. A group of two- and three-storey rubble buildings, with three-strorey, 6- by 10-bay, and 7-bay blocks of maltings, with a brick kiln vent, and a square-section brick chimney.

J R Hume 1977.
