There are two subrectangular huts and four pens on the heather-covered W bank of the Allt an Dubh-ghlinne just below the 600m contour. Aligned roughly N to S, the two huts are constructed of faced-rubble walls, 0.7m in thickness, and lie end-on to one another a short distance apart along the banks of the burn, measuring 6.4m and 8m in length by 2.4m and 2.7m in breadth respectively, within walls standing to 0.5m and 1m in height respectively, both with entrances on the W. The N hut is subdivided into two unequal compartments. The four pens, which are scattered amongst the old stream channels of the Allt an Dubh-ghlinne to the N and NW of the huts, are constructed of drystone rubble standing up to 1m in height. Two are subcircular, 2m and 3m in diameter respectively, but the other two are oval or subrectangular, measuring 3.4m and 4.2m in length by 2.6m and 2.8m in breadth respectively. All but one of the pens have an entrance on the W, the other having an entrance on the S (MAR93 482).
