There are at least six shieling-huts situated on the flood-plain of the Bynack Burn, lying between the burn and the Allt an t'Seilich. The huts range from 4m to 7.6m in length by between 1.55m and 2.4m in breadth within rubble-faced walls 0.7m to 1m in thickness and standing up to 0.4m in height with an entrance in one side. A yard or enclosure adjoins the E side of one of the huts (MAR93 515), another has a drystone pen built onto its S end (MAR93 518). The boundary dyke (NO08NW 19.07) abuts at least two of the huts (MAR93 514-5).
