Plantation banks and drains have been recorded as cropmarks on oblique aerial photography (RCAHMSAP 1992) about 500m NE of Castle Kennedy Airfield. The plantation banks, visible as close set parallel ditches, are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Wigtownshire 1848-50, sheet XVI).
