O.S.6"map, Shetland, 2nd ed.,(1903).
A cairn, now appearing as a grass-covered mound, which has been partially spread by local people, exposing part of the structure.
Name Book 1878.
A mound of burnt stones lies close to the beach at the head of Tresta Voe.
RCAHMS 1946. Visited 1931.
A somewhat indefinite turf-covered mound, 1.3m maximum height, situated on the edge of a salt marsh. Several large stones protrude through the turf, one of which is 1.0m high, but these form no recognisable pattern. No burnt stone could be positively identified due to the turf-covering but the mound is in a good position for a burnt mound with a stream nearby. A later field wall skirts the E side of the road. Unable to classify.
Re-surveyed at 6" Scale.
Visited by OS(NKB) 4th June 1968.
