Field Visit (6 April 1991)

NC92NW 12 902 296.

There are at least nine sub-rectangular shieling-huts and three mounds on the valley floor of the Kinbrace Burn. Four of the huts are sub-divided and three have three compartments, with two small cells opening out of a larger central compartment. The structures are defined by low turf walls with intermittent stone facing and most are slightly mounded. They measure up to 7.9m by 1.9m and stand to a maximum height of 0.5m.
