Field Visit (30 May 1990)

NX66NW 13.2 6245 6712.

On a natural terrace on the W side of Clack Hill, a building stands on the line of the common bank of a double-celled enclosure of unequal parts, which measures 200m from NE to SW by between 80m and 135m transversely. The building measures 7m long by up to 3.8m in breadth at the wider E end over grass-covered walls 0.8m to 1m in thickness. A subsidiary enclosure is attached to the inside of the southerly enclosure. Within the enclosures are a number of clearance heaps and linear banks as well as four shieling-huts, one of which lies on the line of the common bank.

Visited by RCAHMS (PJD) 30 May 1990.
