(NY 1067 8830) Crop-mark site discovered by St Joseph and excavated in 1958 by Mr B Blake and Miss K Hodgson, in conjunction with the Ministry of Works and Lockerbie Extra-Mural Class, and since observed by Messrs Cormack and Little of Lockerbie. Remains of a timber hall, cobble flooring, several rubble wall-bases, and rubbish pits with 13th and 14th C pottery, found. Five Bronze Age cinerary urns were also discovered, some of which are now in Edinburgh and one at Dumfries Museum. The air photograph would seem to suggest an extension of the site to the S, area NY 106 882.

Site surveyed at 1:2500.
