Traditionally, a chapel called Angel Chapel (F R Coles 1893) stood here. No remains can now be traced, though the site is surrounded by an earth-and-stone bank (Name Book 1850). The bank, now in the form of a horse-shoe, encloses an area 85' N-S by 66'. It is very irregular in thickness, varying from 14'-20', and is 2'6" high, though obliterated on the N. There are many large stones in its composition.

The surface remains indicate that this has been a similar structure to the (palisaded) homestead at MacNaughton (NX87NE3). There is nothing in the appearance of the work to suggest that it is a chapel site.
