On the summit of a hill about 300m NE of Townhead farm are the denuded remains of two cairns. That to the E (NX 6249 5588), defined by a scarp 0.5m in height, measures 24m from N to S overall with a stony mound 8.5m across slightly eccentric to the centre, and up to 0.4m in height. Immediately to the W, the second cairn (NX 6247 5587), also defined by a scarp 0.5m in height, measures 26m from N to S with a stony mound 11m in diameter also slightly eccentric to the centre and up to 0.5m in height.
