OS 1:10000 map (1979).
A grass-covered cairn, surmounted by an Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar, occupies the summit of Knockdolian. Composed of large and small stones, with rock outcrop protruding in places, it measures about 15m N-S by 13m transversely and 2m high. A few large kerb stones are visible (J Smith 1895).
