The site of an almost ploughed out cairn described in 1855, in which year it was first ploughed, as being a circular heap of loose stones and earth about 28m in diameter (Name Book 1855).

Visited by OS (JD) 28 October 1955

All that now remains is a slight swelling, 14m in diameter and 0.2m high, with only a few stones visible on its grass covered surface. This cairn, situated in a pasture field, remains as a low flat topped grassy mound measuring 25.0m in overall diameter and 0.4m in maximum height.

This cairn, which is situated on the river terrace 300m NE of Craigneil farmhouse, has been reduced to a mound measuring about 20m in diameter and 0.4m in height.
