A cairn, 12m in diameter and 0.5m high, the centre being turf-covered and slightly hollowed. A pile of stones at the S end is presumably the shepherd's cairn published on OS 6" 1909.

Friar's Kirk 2 NX 102 732 NX17SW 11

This cairn is situated in open moorland about 350m NW of the sheepfold known as The Friar's Kirk; it measures 9.5m in diameter by 0.6m in height, and its centre has been dug out to provide material for a modern cairn which stands on the SSE.
