Airborne Laser Scanning Interpretation (17 January 2022)
A field containing straight rig and furrow (orientated NNW and SSE) is situated on the S flank of Corly Craig some 200m NNE of Markdu farmsteading. The field is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Wigtownshire 1849, Sheet 6) but it has also been recorded on oblique aerial photographs (RCAHMSAP 1985) and it is visible on visualisations of elevation models derived from Airborne Laser Scanning data (Scottish Public Sector LiDAR (Phase 3) 2015-16).
