OS 6"map, Berwickshire, 2nd ed., (1908).

The N half of this circular fort is well-preserved, but the S portion is no more than traceable. (See RCAHMS 1915 plan, fig.53).

RCAHMS 1915, visited 1911.

No trace of this earthwork was seen, viewed in low, oblique sunlight. It was sited on a hill-slope; the ground is now under pasture.

Visited by OS(JFC) 26 October 1954.

Previous field report confirmed.

Visited by OS(WDJ) 10 February 1966

Nothing is visible of this earthwork, which occupied the summit of Dalkslaw; oval on plan, it measured about 115m by 95m within a bank (about 2.5m thick and 0.5m high ) and external ditch.

Field Visit (9 August 1950)

This site was included within the RCAHMS Marginal Land Survey (1950-1962), an unpublished rescue project.
