Dovecot, Newbyth: In the park some distance from the mansion there is a double lectern type dovecot, measuring about 24 1/2ft by 17ft, with a slate roof and sloping gables. The random rubble walls are 3ft thick with dressings and remains of pebbledash; there are two string courses. In the front wall are two doorways; above each is a small round window. There are also two larger windows in the gables. Midway up the roof is a row of 16 entry holes. Interally, there are about 950 nests.
