NT 364 683. Enclosure (Site), Chalkieside: Cropmarks on aerial photographs reveal, at about 400ft OD, parts of a single-ditched enclosure, probably trapezoidal on plan, measuring approximately 250ft by 300ft axially.
This is one of at least twenty enclosures in Mid- and East Lothian which are superficially comparable with Iron Age timber-house sites of the Northumberland coastal plain.
