(NT 2156 4146) Enclosure (NR)

OS 6" map (1965)

Situated high up on a west-facing hill terrace (visible on AP's 106G/ Scot/UK 81: 3327-8) are scant vestiges of an almost circular enclosure. All that exists is a slight inner scarp, no more than 0.2m high, forming a slight "scoop" into the hillside, otherwise it is featureless. It has measured c. 24m E-W x c. 23m.

(Information from R W Feachem notebook 1959, 2)

Surveyed at 1/10560.

Visited by OS (JLD) 31 July 1961

The enclosure is as described, there being almost nothing distinguishable on the ground.

Visited by OS (BS) 23 September 1974
