(NT 2266 4594) Bronze Cauldron found AD 1904 (NAT)

OS 6" map (1966)

A Late Bronze Age cauldron was found in July, 1904 when digging drains in a hollow among grassy knolls in a field about 1000 OD. It was found beneath 3' of peat, and is made of three sheets of beaten bronze rivetted together. It is now in the National Museum of Antiquties of Scotland (NMAS Accession no: DU 8).
