(NT 0819 4965) Enclosure (NR)

OS 25" map (1973)

When first noted, in 1971, this enclosure, at 920ft OD, in former woodland was generally as described by the RCAHMS. No entrance was visible and the occupant of Easton farm could not recall its use as a sheepfold.

Visited by OS (DWR) 28 July 1971

Field Visit (September 1975)

NT 082 496. This circular enclosure, situated on level ground a short distance W of NT04NE 19, measures 18.3m in diameter over a predominantly earthen bank 3.2m thick and up to 0.5m high. It is probably the remains of a sheepfold.

RCAHMS 1978, visited September 1975
