Activities

Field Visit (July 1978)

Kincardine, Old Parish Church and Burial-ground NS 721 987 NS79NW 24

Within the old burial-ground the site of the church is indicated by a very slight platform measuring 24m from E to W by 6m transversely and upon which there are no graves. The E end of the platform is occupied by a burial-enclosure bearing the date 1686. The earliest reference to a church at Kincardine occurs late in the 12th century.
