(NS 6693 9456) Keir Hill of Glentirran (NAT)

OS 6" map (1948)

Indeterminate Site: The Keir Hill of Glentirran is a natural mound, 300 yds SW of Boquhan House. It is occupied by a disused modern burial ground. The OSA records that "the marks of some ancient military work" in the form of an oval rampart existed on the hill, but all traces of this have now disappeared.

RCAHMS 1963, visited 1952; OSA 1796

There is no trace of any fortifications on the Keir Hill of Glentirran, which has been replanted with firs.

Visited by OS (RD) 23 September 1968
