Field Visit (November 1978)

Arrochymore NS 412 919 NS49SW

The remains of a dun, measuring about 17m in diameter overall, occupy the summit of a rocky knoll 350m NW of Arrochymore farmhouse. The wall has been largely reduced to a low mound of rubble, but on the N side, where a few facing-stones have survived, it appears to have had an original thickness of about 3m.

RCAHMS 1979, visited November 1978
