Archaeology Notes

NS49NE 2 4955 9504.

NS 496 949. 7 cups-and-one ring, and at least 8 cups, some of which may have been ringed, are carved on a prominent boulder, 6' x 4' x 2', situated 350 yards SSE of farm, 40 yards S of burn, 130 yards WNW of wall. It has been drilled by the farmer, who was about to blow it up when identified by Morris. It has been left intact.
