The foundations of a broch on top of a knoll. On the south and SE the line of the outer face of the wall is sufficiently distinct to justify an estimate of approximately 61' for the over-all diameter. Dwelling- houses encroach upon the north portion of the site.

Broch, West Houlland.
On the top of a knoll immediately behind a crofter's house at West Houlland, 200 ft. above the sea, are the foundations of a broch. On the S. and S.E. the line of the outer face of the wall is sufficiently distinct to justify an estimate of approximately 61 ft. for the over-all diameter. Dwelling houses encroach upon the N. portion of the site.

Field Visit (11 June 2010)
This broch is situated on a low knoll on the S edge of Da Broch farmsteading. Little of its structure is visible, but fragments of internal and external wall-face that are evident indicate it measures about 9m in diameter internally and about 19m overall.
